New report of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on the development of information technologies in the world (Global Information Technology Report 2012) is issued.

The report includes a special chapter on Azerbaijan “Big Ambitions in Rapidly Changing World: Azerbaijan” written by Rasim Aliguliyev, Director of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences’ Information Technology Institute and Galib Gurbanov, the Chairman of Azerbaijan Internet Society. 

The chapter discusses ICT development efforts made by the country and maximization of profitability.
